HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOOR
WHEN MEASURING YOUR DOOR FOR AN EXTERNAL, INTERNAL AND INBETWEEN FIT.
Take your tape measure and measure on the inside top left hand corner of the opening to the inside top right hand corner e.g. brick to brick, and write down your measurements, then do the same again but at the middle of the opening and the same goes for the bottom, now when measuring the height of your opening, measure from the inside bottom left of the opening to the inside top left of the opening and then for the right hand side measure from the inside bottom right of the opening to the inside top right of the opening, once you have got all your measurements type them into the correct boxes on the right hand side.
Please note that if you do not have any other access to your garage other than from the garage door then you will need an external release kit for incase of emergency e.g. power cut.
It’s always good to measure twice as you do not want to order the wrong size door.

WHEN CHOOSING WHICH SIDE TO HAVE THE MOTOR ON.
It is best to choose the side that has the easiest point of access for the electrical cables to come out of, when choosing a side it must be done when stood in the garage looking out, then choose left or right hand.
If the door is going to be fitted externally then you do this by standing outside the garage looking in and then choose left or right hand side for the motor.

HOW SHOULD THE DOOR BE FITTED
MEASURE THE SPACING AROUND YOUR DOOR.
If you are having your door externally fitted then please measure how much space you have on the outside of the garage pillar, measure from the opening to the outside of the garage wall. Do this on both sides of the opening. Now to measure for your headroom, you need to measure from the top of your opening up to the highest point that the door could go, this needs to be above your overall opening height.
If you are having your door inbetween fitted then you will have already measured your height in the first section.
If you are having your door internally fitted then please measure how much space you have on the inside of the garage pillar, ( do this from the inside of the garage) measure from the opening to the inside of the inside wall. Do this on both sides of the opening. Now to measure for your headroom, you need to measure from the top of your opening up to the ceiling, this needs to be above your overall opening height.
It’s always good to measure twice as you do not want to order the wrong size door.
